(AsiaGameHub) –   The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) has released its most recent Integrity Report, which details the first quarter of 2026. According to the publication, the association detected 70 suspicious games across 10 sports.

The Report Highlights Soccer as the Sport with the Most Alerts

According to the Q1 2026 Integrity Report, the IBIA registered 70 suspicious alerts. A regional analysis indicates that Europe had the most suspicious games, accounting for 20 (28%) of the quarter’s alerts. North America followed with 14 alerts, representing 20% of the total. Asia, South America , and Africa were attributed 9 (13%), 6 (9%), and 6 (9%) of all alerts, respectively.

Furthermore, eSports, which is not geographically bound, generated 15 alerts (21%).

The report identified soccer as the sport with the highest number of suspicious match alerts. Data indicates that 25 alerts, or 36% of the total, were linked to the sport. Tennis ranked second with 16 alerts (24%), followed closely by eSports with 15 (21%). Table tennis was next with 7 alerts (10%), and volleyball registered 2 (3%). A single alert was reported for each of the following: Badminton, handball, cricket, MMA, and basketball .

IBIA: Brazil Betting to Dominate the LATAM Region

Further data from the IBIA focused on suspicious alerts in Brazil. The country, which legalized sports betting a year prior, has experienced rapid market growth, swiftly establishing itself as a dominant player in South American gaming.

However, the IBIA’s data indicates that the introduction of a regulated market may have contributed to a rise in suspicious alerts. To illustrate, just 7 alerts were reported in 2024, a figure that jumped to 25 in 2025. Between 2021 and 2025, the IBIA documented a total of 68 alerts in Brazil, with soccer being the focus of the vast majority (51).

The IBIA’s Brazil Focus section projects that Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) from licensed sports betting will continue to climb, potentially reaching BRL 23.7 billion by 2030. The forecasts also anticipate a more gradual increase in offshore GGR, which is expected to hit BRL 5.1 billion by 2030. By comparison, Brazil’s licensed GGR for 2025 was BRL 16.7 billion, while offshore GGR was BRL 4 billion.

The IBIA also expresses confidence that Brazil will maintain its dominance in the LATAM sports betting landscape.

This report follows the IBIA’s previous integrity publication that covered the full year of 2025.
