(AsiaGameHub) –   Mohegan Sun is getting ready to launch the summer poker season in a big way. The venue confirmed that its Poker Room will celebrate the occasion with a new installment of its much-loved Summer Kickoff Poker Tournament.

The Summer Kickoff Poker Tournament is Nearing

The Summer Kickoff Poker Tournament will get underway on Friday, June 12, delivering three days of high-energy Limit Hold’em poker competition. The tournament will run through June 14, featuring attractive prizes and plenty of opportunities for competitors to put their poker skills to the test.

With a $400 buy-in per entry, the Summer Kickoff Poker Tournament guarantees a $75,000 guaranteed prize pool. In-person registration for the event will open at the Poker Room each morning, and new players can join up until the start of level seven.

All participants will start the tournament with $25,000 in chips. For an extra $10, players can add another 5,000 chips to their starting stack.

While the Summer Kickoff Poker Tournament offers plenty of exciting poker action, it is only a warm-up for the full summer schedule that Mohegan Sun has planned. In addition to its daily No Limit Texas Hold’em tournaments and Bounty events, the property has previewed a Juneteenth High Hand Special on June 19, where qualifying players will win prizes every 20 minutes.

Metallica Set to Perform at the Mohegan Sun Arena

In other news, Mohegan Sun Arena is preparing to celebrate its 25th anniversary later this year. To mark the milestone, the venue will welcome Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Metallica for shows on November 19 and November 21. This will be the first time the band has ever played at the arena.

The November 19 performance will feature Suicidal Tendencies as a supporting guest, while the November 21 show will have Spiritbox as the opening act.
